Bali Fashion Week 2008 Dibuka oleh Menteri Koperasi

“Bali Fashion Week” atau dikenal dengan istilah “BFW” merupakan salah satu ajang fashion terbesar di tanah air.
Acara yang berlangsung di Garuda Wisnu Kencana ini secara resmi telah dibuka pada hari Senin 25 Agustus 2008 oleh Drs. Suryadarma Ali, Menteri Koperasi dan UKM dan akan ditutup pada hari Jumat 29 Agustus 2008.

Dalam ajang BFW ini diikuti oleh sejumlah perancang ternama lokal juga mancanegara.
Menteri Koperasi dan UKM, Drs Suryadarma Ali juga berharap, lewat ajang BFW ini, dapat meningkatkan industri lokal Indonesia termasuk UKMnya. Sedangkan ketua panitia Bali Fashion Week, Ika Mardiana dari Moda Bali Foundation berharap ajang ini dapat menjadi pintu gerbang bagi turis mancanegara untuk Dapat mengenal serta menghargai budaya Indonesia

Tak hanya fesyen yang ditawarkan dalam ajang ini, namun juga budaya bali yang eksotis. Ajang fesyen yang telah berlangsung selama delapan tahun itu juga mengedepankan sisi budaya Bali yang eksotis dan menjadi daya tarik bagi Turis lokal dan mancanegara.


“Bali Fashion Week” or was known with the “BFW” term to be one of the sites fashion biggest in the homeland.
The agenda that took place in Garuda Wisnu Kencana this officially was opened on the Monday on August 25 2008 by Drs. Suryadarma Ali, the Cooperatives Small and Medium Enterprises Minister and will be closed on the Friday on August 29 2008.

In this BFW site was followed by several famous designers local also foreign countries. Cooperatives Small and Medium Enterprises Minister, Drs Suryadarma Ali also hoped, through this BFW site, could increase the local Indonesian industry including UKM. Where as the chairman of the committee Balinese Fashion Week, Eka Mardiana from Moda Bali Foundation hoped this site could become the main gate for foreign tourists to be able to know as well as appreciate the Indonesian culture.

Not only fashion that was offered in this site, but also the Balinese culture that was exotic. This fashion event that took place while eight years also put the side of the Balinese culture that was exotic forward and became the attraction for local tourists and foreign countries.
